ABOUT THE DELIVERY TEAM
The Northern Gateway Partnership is a 50/50 partnership between Russell LDP and Harworth Group plc. This partnership combines the strengths of both businesses and working alongside other key partners and stakeholders.
Both Russell LDP and Harworth Group plc have strong track records in delivering benchmark regeneration and construction projects throughout the region. Both businesses have experienced development teams based in Manchester, working collaboratively in partnership with the other stakeholders to deliver the project.
This document is a shared vision for how The Northern Gateway Partnership will lead the Atom Valley initiative, to create a truly exemplar development, to help rebalance Greater Manchester and indeed the UK as a whole.
Russell LDP is a land promoter and commercial developer, headquartered in Manchester. The group was founded in 1997 and comprises Russell WBHO, a tier 1 contractor, Russell Homes, an award winning housebuilder, and Russell LDP. Russell LDP is bringing forward South Heywood, which is the adjacent first phase of Northern Gateway. This has seen the delivery of a new 2.2km
link road from Junction 19 of the M62 to open up the site. The site itself has planning consent for 1.9m sq ft of employment space, and 1,000 homes, with 2 housebuilders already on site, delivering the initial ambition for Northern Gateway. Russell LDP will utilise it’s vast multi faceted and local expertise to bring forward Northern Gateway alongside the wider partners.
Harworth Group plc is one of the leading land and property regeneration companies in the UK, owning and managing approximately 13,000 acres on around 100 sites in the North of England and Midlands. Harworth creates sustainable places for people to live and work, delivering thousands of new jobs and homes in the regions. Harworth’s flagship sites such as Waverley in
Rotherham (incorporating the Advanced Manufacturing Park) and Logistics North in Bolton are of national economic significance and are at the forefront of regeneration in the UK. Harworth will utilise its vast experience of delivery of such transformational projects to help bring forward Northern Gateway alongside the wider public – private partnership delivery team.
